About
About Cars Like
Cars Like is an independent car-comparison site for the Australian market. We publish specs, pricing and honest, like-for-like comparisons, backed by real data, not affiliate spin. Our goal is to cover every new vehicle on sale in Australia. We’re rolling that out by category, starting with four-wheel drive SUVs.
Cars Like puts the authority in the method and the data, not in any one person’s opinion.
How we work
Every spec and price is sourced from official Australian material and checked before it ships. Where a figure can’t be verified, we flag it rather than guess. We take no payment to rank one car above another, and we say plainly what each car is good and bad at.
Founder and editor
Yuri Cartland is the founder and Editor of Cars Like, and sets the editorial standards behind every page. He has spent more than 12 years in publishing and content. He founded a free English-language newspaper in Amsterdam, then studied media communications and marketing at the University of Western Australia, graduating with First Class Honours and a published thesis on start-up tech communities. Today he runs Untitled Media, a Perth video-production studio. That grounding in publishing, technology and data shaped the accuracy-first approach behind Cars Like.
Cars Like grew out of his own experience as a car enthusiast and buyer. Facing one of the biggest purchases most people make, he found the information scattered across dozens of tabs and hard to hold in his head, so he built the tool he wanted: every spec, price and comparison in one place, sourced and checked.
