The Deepal S07 is the pick at the shared entry price for a bigger base battery, a longer warranty and the phone mirroring the Leapmotor C10 lacks. Choose the roomier C10 for its cabin space and family comfort, or step up to its Design LR grade for the genuinely fast charging both entry cars miss.
10kWh
For the same entry money, the Deepal S07 carries a 79.97kWh battery to the Leapmotor C10 Style's 69.9kWh. Only by stepping up to the dearer C10 Design LR and its 81.9kWh pack do the two swap places.

Safety is a true split, and both landed five stars in 2024 ANCAP testing. The Deepal's calling card is crash protection, where its 95 per cent adult-occupant result sits well above the Leapmotor's 89. Turn to the active-safety and vulnerable-road-user scores and the Leapmotor leads instead, 77 against 70 and 77 against 74. Both earned complaints for fussy driver aids, as well: the S07's were reworked after launch, which shaved its assist tally, and the C10's chimes are still what reviewers grumble about most. The short version is the S07 for crash safety, the C10 for the wider assistance net.
A genuine tie.

For family duty the two trade blows. Reviewers single out the C10 for space, with one of the roomier second rows in the class, a flat rear floor, a panoramic roof and a soft, hushed ride set up for comfort. The S07 is the longer vehicle, riding a 2,900mm wheelbase, and it carries a 125-litre front boot the C10 lacks, plus standard dual-zone climate and ventilated seats. Both seat five and both are five-star. Treat the C10 as the back-seat pick and the S07 as the more versatile for loading, then choose on what your family leans on.
Based on Everyday & family, we’d pick the Leapmotor C10.
Park the S07 nose-on and its styling does the talking: a rakish coupe-SUV silhouette, a sealed EV nose split by slim LED signatures and a lighting bar across the tail. At 4,750mm it is the longer, more dramatic car here, and design is the one area reviewers rate it clearly ahead.
The C10 presents a plainer, more grown-up face, with narrow lamps and an uncluttered nose that reads premium rather than loud. Its upright SUV proportions make it the easy car to place on the road and in a car park, a deliberate contrast to the Deepal's theatre.

you want the most battery, warranty and kit for your money in one simple spec. At the shared entry price the S07 lands the bigger base battery, a seven-year vehicle warranty backed by eight years and 240,000km on the battery, a 14-speaker Sony system, a standard head-up display, ventilated front seats and a 125-litre front boot, plus Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Its adult-occupant ANCAP result is a standout 95 per cent. Just go in knowing DC charging tops out at a modest 92kW, the drive is relaxed rather than sharp, and it is a late-2026 run-out in finite supply.
Explore the S07you want the roomier family cabin and the freedom to choose your grade. The C10's second row is among the roomiest in the class, the ride is soft and quiet, and the range runs from a value Style to a much faster-charging Design LR to a 440kW AWD Sports+ halo. Stellantis stands behind it. Accept the shorter six-year warranty, the eager driver-assistance chimes, and the big one: the C10 does without Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and that will not change on this generation. Step up to the Design LR if charging speed or range lead your brief.
