The Mercedes-Benz EQB is the pick for families: the only seven-seater here, a genuine 5+2, and thousands less than the Audi Q6 e-tron. The Q6 e-tron answers with far more power, newer 800V tech and a current five-star ANCAP rating the EQB no longer holds. Seats and value point to the Mercedes, capability to the Audi.
7 seats
The Mercedes-Benz EQB is the rare seven-seat electric SUV, its 250+ grade fitting a standard 5+2 third row that the five-seat Audi Q6 e-tron cannot offer at any price.

In 2026, matched on basis, the EQB undercuts the Q6 e-tron by roughly $8,000, and its sub-threshold list price helps novated-lease buyers. The spec rail's near-equal figures compare the Audi's list to the Mercedes' drive-away.

The Q6 e-tron carries a current five-star ANCAP rating from 2024. The EQB's five-star was a 2019 carry-over from the petrol GLB and has lapsed, so current builds are unrated, though the active-safety kit stays extensive.
Based on Safety, we’d pick the Audi Q6 e-tron.

The EQB is the only seven-seater here, its standard 5+2 third row a genuine point of difference for growing families. The Q6 e-tron seats five only. For row-three duty the Mercedes wins by default.
Based on Everyday & family, we’d pick the Mercedes-Benz EQB.
The Q6 e-tron wears Audi's clean, restrained EV face, the closed grille and slim lights marking it as the newer, purpose-built electric design.
The EQB's upright, boxy nose betrays its GLB roots, a practical shape that pays off in the cabin and the third row.

Q6 e-tron
EQB
The Q6 e-tron is the newer, more capable machine, and it charges accordingly.
The EQB is the rare affordable seven-seat EV, and that is its whole case.

Opinions are our own.
You want the newer, more capable EV and will pay for it. It out-powers the EQB from the base up, offers all-wheel drive and the 360kW SQ6 flagship, rides on a faster-charging 800V platform, and holds a current five-star ANCAP rating. Its cabin is the more advanced. Accept that it seats five only and lists above the Mercedes, and it is the driver's and technologist's pick.
Explore the Q6 e-tronYou need seven seats or a sharper price. The EQB is the only 5+2 here, it lists for thousands less than the Audi, with a sub-threshold list price that also helps novated-lease buyers. It is efficient and beats the entry Q6 on range. Accept the older 400V platform, the single front-drive grade and the lapsed safety rating, and it is the family and value choice.
