The Audi Q4 e-tron is the smart-money pick: it undercuts the Q6 e-tron by about $13,000, qualifies for the FBT break the Q6 misses, and its base grade out-powers and out-ranges the entry Q6. Step up to the Q6 for a bigger body, the faster-charging 800V platform and the 360kW SQ6 ceiling the smaller car cannot match.
$13,000
The pricier Q6 e-tron opens above the Q4, yet the cheaper car's base grade out-powers and out-ranges the entry Q6. The step up buys size, an 800V platform and the SQ6 ceiling, not better base numbers.

The Q6 e-tron is the roomier choice, 183mm longer with a fraction more boot at 526L to the Q4's 520L. The Q4 is the tidier, more city-friendly size, giving up little practicality to do it.
Based on Everyday & family, we’d pick the Audi Q6 e-tron.
The Q4 e-tron wears a compact, upright take on Audi's EV face, its shorter nose marking it as the smaller of the two.
The Q6 e-tron's wider, lower front and slim lighting signal the newer, larger platform beneath.

Opinions are our own.
You want the value entry to Audi's EVs. It costs less to enter than the Q6, and its 45 grade beats the base Q6 on power, acceleration and range while using less energy. It is the tidier city size. Accept the older 400V platform, the slower charging and the 250kW ceiling, and it is the smart-money pick.
Explore the Q4 e-tronYou want the bigger, newer, more capable Audi EV. Its 800V platform charges faster, its body is roomier, and its range climbs to the 360kW SQ6 the Q4 cannot match. The triple-screen cabin is the more modern. Accept that it costs more, sits above the Luxury Car Tax threshold, and is out-specced by the cheaper Q4 at the entry grade, and it is the step-up worth taking for space and ceiling.
