The Mazda CX-6e GT is the more complete SUV: it charges at over double the Deepal's speed, makes more power and has the plusher cabin. The Deepal S07 is the value pick, costing thousands less with a longer warranty and a five-star safety rating the Mazda has not yet earned. Save with the Deepal, pay up for the Mazda.

The Deepal S07 opens a 445-litre boot to the Mazda CX-6e's 363, and adds a 125-litre front boot for cables on top. Built on the same platform, the cheaper SUV is the bigger everyday load-lugger.
Pick a priority — we’ll show the numbers that matter and tell you which car we’d choose.

The S07 brings a five-star ANCAP rating from 2024 testing, with 95 per cent adult occupant protection, seven airbags and the full active-safety suite; its one soft spot is a safety-assist sub-score trimmed to 70 per cent after a driver-aid software update. The CX-6e carries the same breadth of assists but has not yet been ANCAP-tested, so it wears no star rating. Well-equipped on both counts, rated on only one.
Based on Safety, we’d pick the Deepal S07.

Both are roomy five-seaters on near-identical wheelbases. The S07 holds the bigger seats-up boot at 445 litres and adds a 125-litre front boot; the CX-6e edges ahead with the seats folded at 1,434 litres and draws praise for its rear-seat space. Call it even for everyday family duty.
A genuine tie.
Both cars handle everyday & familyequally well — this one’s a draw.
The S07 leads with a closed EV nose, split LED headlights and a full-width light bar, a sleek coupe-SUV face reviewers single out as one of the sharper-looking Chinese EVs on sale. The triangle badge and clean surfacing keep it modern rather than fussy.
The CX-6e wears Mazda's Kodo design language up front, with a slim full-width lighting signature running into the badge and a two-tone roof on every colour but black. It reads unmistakably Mazda rather than generic EV, a deliberate point of difference from its platform sibling.

CX-6e
The Deepal S07's whole pitch is value, and it holds up.
The Mazda CX-6e GT asks a clear price premium over the Deepal as of late 2026, and it spends the difference where you can measure it.

Opinions are our own.
You want the lowest price and the longest warranty, you value a proven five-star ANCAP rating, and you do most of your charging at home so the 92kW DC peak rarely bites. It is the cheaper, well-equipped, safety-rated choice, with the bigger seats-up boot and a 125-litre front boot for cables. The compromise you accept is slow public charging and no built-in navigation.
Explore the S07You want the faster-charging, more powerful car with the plusher cabin and the reassurance of Mazda's dealer network, and you are comfortable paying thousands more at drive-away, as of late 2026, and accepting that it is not yet ANCAP-rated. Choose the GT over the Azami: it holds the longer 484km range and saves $3,000 for the same 190kW drivetrain and the same screen.
