The Zeekr 7X Performance AWD is the pick for buyers who want the most car for the money: more than double the power, 800-volt fast charging, a bigger battery and a longer equipment list. Choose the Ford Mustang Mach-E Select instead for the Mustang badge, its rear-drive feel and the lower drive-away price.
100kWh
The Zeekr 7X Performance AWD carries a 100kWh battery against the Ford Mustang Mach-E Select's 73kWh, and turns the extra into 543km of claimed range to the Ford's 470km.

The 7X holds the bigger boot, 539 litres to the Mach-E Select's 402, opening to 1,978 litres folded against 1,420. It also runs a tri-zone climate layout where the Ford has dual-zone. The Ford counters with a 49-litre frunk under the bonnet for the charging cables and up to seven years of roadside cover. Both seat five and both hold a current five-star rating; for space and kit the Zeekr edges it.
Based on Everyday & family, we’d pick the Zeekr 7X.
The Mach-E Select wears the full Mustang family face, slim lights over a closed-off nose, in its entry rear-drive form.
The 7X Performance AWD leads with a clean, premium front and Zeekr's lighting signature, flagship hardware under a restrained suit.

Mustang Mach-E
7X
The Mach-E Select is the entry grade, and in this company that shows on the spec sheet.
For a list price that sits just under the Ford's drive-away figure, the 7X Performance AWD reads like a step up.

Opinions are our own.
the Mustang badge and a rear-drive Ford chassis matter more to you than the spec sheet, and you want the lower drive-away price. At $73,394 on the road in New South Wales it undercuts the Zeekr once on-road costs are counted, keeps a five-star rating, and adds up to seven years of roadside cover plus a handy frunk. You accept less power, slower charging and a shorter service interval for the feel and the nameplate.
Explore the Mustang Mach-Eyou want the most car for the money and will pay the on-road premium to get it. Two motors and 475kW, 800-volt charging, a 100kWh battery, air suspension and a loaded cabin put it a class above the entry Mach-E on hardware, and it books a service every 40,000km rather than 15,000. The trade-offs are a dearer drive-away price and a newer brand's unproven resale.
