From$70,990
Pick the Škoda Enyaq Coupé for the bigger boot, longer warranty and cheaper running: it costs less to buy and services half as often. Pick the Ford Mustang Mach-E for its larger cabin, bigger screens and the range and power the Škoda has no answer to, from a 615km Extended Range to the 434kW GT.
30,000km
The Škoda Enyaq Coupé services every 24 months or 30,000km, twice as far as the Ford Mustang Mach-E's 12 months or 15,000km, so the Škoda visits the workshop half as often across a five-year hold.
Pick a priority — we’ll show the numbers that matter and tell you which car we’d choose.

The Škoda is cheaper to buy and cheaper to own. The Coupé Sportline opens about $2,400 under the Mach-E Select (August 2026), then keeps saving: seven years of warranty against five, and services every 24 months or 30,000km where the Ford wants one every 12 months or 15,000. The Mach-E counters with seven years of roadside assistance, but that covers recovery rather than repairs. On the money that leaves your account over five years, the Enyaq Coupé is the clear pick.
Based on Running costs, we’d pick the Skoda Enyaq Coupé.

Both hold a five-star ANCAP rating and run the full assist suite: autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert and pedestrian detection on each. The Mach-E's rating comes with published sub-scores from its test, 92 per cent adult occupant and 82 per cent safety assist among them, though its 69 per cent vulnerable-road-user score trails the class. The GT performance grade is sold unrated. On the headline five stars they are level, so this is a tie.

A closer call than the boot suggests. The Mach-E's longer 2,984mm wheelbase buys more stretch-out room inside, useful for teenagers in the back, while the Enyaq Coupé counters with the far bigger boot and three-zone climate to the Ford's dual-zone. One trades cabin space for cargo, the other the reverse. Both seat five, both carry a panoramic roof and rear vents, so we score it level and let the boot-versus-legroom question decide it for you.
A genuine tie.
Both cars handle everyday & familyequally well — this one’s a draw.
The Mach-E leads with Mustang intent: a long, closed-off bonnet, slim tri-bar-inspired lighting and a body-colour nose in place of a grille. It is the more aggressive face of the two, and the longer 2,984mm wheelbase is already obvious in three-quarter view.
The Enyaq Coupé wears Škoda's sharper Modern Solid look, a slim light bar over an illuminated Tech-Deck grille frame, cleaner and more upright than the Ford. The tapering coupe roofline is visible from the front three-quarter, dropping toward the ducktail.

Opinions are our own.
You want the bigger car, the bigger screens or the performance and range the Škoda cannot match. The larger 2,984mm wheelbase and 15.5-inch touchscreen make the cabin feel the more generous, and only the Ford offers a 615km Extended Range or a 434kW GT. Pick the Premium Extended Range at $88,619 (August 2026) for the long-distance sweet spot; step to the GT if outright pace is the point.
Explore the Mustang Mach-EYou want the most practical, efficient and cheaply-run of the two. The 570-litre boot, seven-year warranty and 24-month or 30,000km service intervals all beat the Ford, and the 565km WLTP range and 156.9Wh/km efficiency need no premium grade to reach. Pick the Sportline 85 at $70,990 (August 2026) for the value sweet spot; the 250kW RS adds all-wheel drive if you want more urgency.
